I think it’s deplorable that so much is being made of your affair with that porn star. That alleged affair, I mean. Who would believe that you could possibly be unfaithful to your wife? Heh, heh.

I wonder if the payment – the alleged payment, I mean – was by check. Because, you know, there’s probably a copy of it somewhere around. But, if it was cash, I wonder who remembers collecting it and putting it into the brown satchel in which it was undoubtedly delivered. I mean, in which it was allegedly delivered. Heh, heh.

Really, Sir. It’s a shame that we’re not focusing on the real issue: getting you and your apologizers out of office. When you’re a civilian again – it can’t happen too soon – you can screw all the porn stars you want, and I won’t care.

Dear Mr. Trump,

I’m not surprised that you’ve got other Republicans – Sens. Cotton and Perdue – lying on your behalf. It’s laughable that you deny saying what you obviously said. Why would Senator Durbin make that up, particularly when he wants you to sign a DACA bill? Senator Flake was aware of your disgusting comments before they hit the news, because he heard about them from other people at the meeting. Senator Graham confirmed that you made these vile, racist comments. The comments, by the way, are consistent with the racist views everyone knows you hold: wanting to ban Muslims from entering the country, the discriminatory housing practices in your own business, your welcoming the support of the Ku Klux Klan, your calling the American Nazis “some very fine people,” and the list goes on forever.

I understand that, belatedly, you deny making the “s**thole” comment, but your credibility is non-existent. You bragged about those comments to your friends before you realized that you shouldn’t have said what you said. Now, more lies flood from your mouth. You’ve proven over and over again that your main modes of speech are the lie, the blatant lie, and the outrageous lie.

Dear Mr. Trump,

So much has been written already about your racial slurs – calling Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations “shithole countries” – that I almost hesitate to add to the maelstrom of disgusted response. But keeping silent is not a real option, not if I want our wonderful country to rid itself of the pest and pestilence that occupies the Oval Office, Sir.

You have again embarrassed our country beyond what anyone might have expected, even knowing how you praised the Klan and American Nazis as “some very find people.” How did we elect such a person as you, Sir, with your crudeness, vulgarity, and racism, traits which have made the United States a laughing-stock around the world? Why do Republicans continue to make excuses for you and refuse to hold you to the standards of decent humanity, thus becoming complicit with your racism? (Abraham Lincoln would be sickened to see that his Republican Party has fallen into the gutter, wallows in the mud there, and, through you, brags about its filth.)

You’ve encouraged the haters of this country to feel emboldened, Sir. You’ve set off a process that, I fear, will continue to destroy us long after you’re gone. The damage is irreparable. You’ve done what you wanted to do.

Dear Mr. Trump,

I hear you don’t read, not even a page of material. Yet, I think you could pull yourself together to enjoy the following poem. It’s in your honor, Sir, written way before the 2016 election. I’d love to hear your thoughts about it.

How Began Our Fall

When we pulled down our open arms once held out

To bleak, wandering masses, and predictions proved too true,

Ballots led straight to tyranny, because you,

 

My fellow citizens, had voted for the fool.

You prayed for concentration camps, cheered the deportation force,

That 2016 election, like 1932, brought death to a once-great nation.

 

You begged for a great big wall and locked us all away,

Plunging us into downward spiral; and thugs grabbed their guns

To target mosques and everyone brown or black.

 

No turning back, no way out, no second chance.

Right then I knew despair for my grandson’s generation.

I knew to mourn the world he’d never recall.

Dear Mr. Trump,

My year-long quest to write to you and elicit a response is almost coming to an end. It was foolish to think that you’d write back. I’m not one of your billionaire friends, and I’m not a thuggish dictator. I’m just one voter who will do everything he can possibly do to make “Trumpism” a thing of the past.

I see now that you have a problem with Michael Wolf’s book. How typical of you that you argue both (1) that the book is scandalous and a pack of lies and (2) that confidences were betrayed, that Stephen Bannon had been sworn to secrecy.

If he told lies to Wolff, that has nothing to do with secrecy. Secrecy pertains only to withholding the truth.

So, which is it? If secrecy is your concern, Bannon told the truth. If lying is your concern, then you cannot logically hold him to any promise of secrecy.

Sir, I will believe everything that came out of Bannon’s mouth and is quoted in this book.

Dear Mr. Trump,

I see that you’re bragging to your ultra-rich friends that you’ve just made them a lot richer through your tax bill.

That’s obviously why they wanted you in office, but what about the millions of poor and middle-class people who voted for you, buying into your lies that you would help them? Do you think for an instant that they’ll fail to see the trick you’ve just pulled? A small, temporary increase in the after-tax income of some – by no means all, because many in the middle class will pay more taxes thanks to your thievery – and then the cuts expire. Meanwhile, your corrupt Republican party will soon say “Whoa! We need to cut Medicare and Social Security to balance the budget!” and these cuts of safety net programs won’t matter a bit to your ultra-rich friends, only to the people who mistakenly put you into office.

What you’ve done is akin to chopping up most of the poor and middle-class voters who put you in office – as well as the Americans who didn’t – and feeding them with the parts of their own bodies until they die. Our deaths, your objective, no doubt.

Dear Mr. Trump:

You can’t make this up. Now, you’ve banned the words “fetus,” “transgender,” “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “evidence-based,” and “science-based” from use by the Centers for Disease Control and other government agencies. This is conduct worthy of the Soviet Union. I presume it was your bosom-buddy friend Putin who gave you this advice.

Please remember that you swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States (a document that you never read). The First Amendment states, in no uncertain terms, that federal and state governments “shall make no law …abridging the freedom of speech.” Yes, I know it’s an amendment you don’t care for and I know you were not serious about your oath, but perhaps some brave CDC employee will take you to court, where a judge who knows the law will rule in favor of free speech.

Sir, if you are really going to strike words for the dictionary, however, then banning the following words is in keeping with your personality and policies:

“respect” – You should prevent Americans from using this word “respect,” because if they think of respect they may understand that you have no respect for our country’s institutions or for any human being, other than yourself and your billionaire friends.

“love” – You should prohibit the word “love,” because if Americans remember this word they might think it’s their obligation to love their neighbor, as the Bible tells us, and you have no love for America’s neighbors or anyone who’s not White, male, and Christian.

“truth” – You should ban the word “truth,” because you’ve demonstrated you have no regard for it, and if Americans think of “truth” they might focus on your unending, disgusting lies, e.g., that the reputation of the FBI is in tatters, that members of your campaign – including your son and your son-in-law – did not collude with the Russians, that President Obama was not born in the United States.

“compassion” – You should ban the word “compassion,” because it reminds us that your decision to rob future generations needlessly, to pay more money to corporations and today’s rich through your so-called tax reform, is the least compassionate thing you could do.

So, Sir, do you see how much more you could accomplish by banning just these four words, instead of the first seven you’re banning right now? Oh, wait. The other four words are on the next list? That list is coming out as soon as these first seven words are gone?

Now I understand.

Dear Mr. Trump,

I’m thinking now of how you repeatedly lied about President Obama’s birthplace. By suggesting that he was not born in the United States, you revealed as nothing else could your racist ideology. (“If he was black, he couldn’t be one of us.”) It goes along with your other racist views, your refusal to rent to black families until you were forced to do so by legal action, your denunciation of Islam, your embrace of the Nazis and KKK’ers who marched in Charlottesville as “very fine people,” your misogyny and p***y grabbing, your support for the child molester Roy Moore, your sucking up to Putin, and the list goes on and on.

I have a theory that you were not born in the United States, and who cares what your birth certificate says, because that could have been forged. My theory – I’m sending investigators out right now for evidence – is that you were not born at all, but hatched in a KGB laboratory, in the then Soviet Union, precisely to be planted here at a young age and groomed to do Russia’s bidding. No wonder your National Security Advisor Gen. Flynn secretly told a friend on inauguration day that sanctions were gone. Only through the foresight and dedication of true Americans – our FBI, our free press – was your link to the Russians outed and your plans thwarted, at least for now.

The truth will come out, sir. Just wait. It won’t be long now.
