Dear Mr. Trump,
You’ve repeatedly lied, calling global warming a hoax. You tweeted in 2012 that “the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive.” That is crazy.
As president, you pulled the US out of the Paris accords, and worldwide emissions of greenhouse gases are still increasing.
You asserted without evidence that the polar ice caps are at their all-time levels, a lie so brazen it boggles the mind.
You refused to read the UN report on global warming, but said that the climate could just as easily be “fabulous.”
Now Michael has become the worst storm the Florida Panhandle has ever faced. But don’t worry, because global warming is a hoax. And the climate is “fabulous.”
Scores of people have likely died, hundreds of homes have been destroyed, more than 900,000 people are without power. But don’t worry, because global warming is a hoax, and the climate is “fabulous.”
The people of Florida endured wind gusts up to 175 miles per hour and 14- to 15-foot storm surges. But don’t worry, residents of Florida, Alabama, and Georgia, because global warming is a hoax and the climate is “fabulous.”
Tell the families friend of the people who died – in states that voted for you and your Republican, fact-denying colleagues – that global warming is a hoax and that the climate is “fabulous.”
Very truly yours,
Bruce J. Berger
